About this art

I absolutely loved painting this piece! There is something so comforting about small, local shops, and I wanted to capture that inviting feeling with this Japanese "Yamamoto" fish shop. I used a palette of dreamy ocean blues, teals, and soft aquas to create a peaceful atmosphere, contrasted by the warm terracotta pots and the cheerful little fish characters on the signage.

My goal was to create a little world you’d want to step into, imagine pushing open those glass doors and hearing a welcoming chime. This original watercolor is perfect for adding a splash of joy and color to a nursery, a kitchen, or any cozy corner that needs a little brightness.
