This is a printable version of The Cookie Shop on the Blue Day painting.

I painted this little storefront because it feels like a small happiness you can walk into. A simple sign that says cookies, a door left open just enough to make you curious, and windows that glow softly like they are holding warmth inside. It is the kind of place you notice when you are tired, and suddenly you are not as tired anymore.

While painting, I leaned into the calm blues first. They wrap around the shop like shade on a sunny afternoon, making the warm browns of the roof and awning feel even cozier. I loved adding the window reflections and the shapes inside, little hints of jars and trays, like you can almost smell something sweet without seeing it clearly. The steps and potted plants were the finishing touches. They make the shop feel cared for, like someone swept the entrance, watered the pots, and opened up with the quiet confidence of a good routine.

This piece is for anyone who loves small streets, gentle colors, and the comfort of places that feel welcoming before you even reach the door.
