About this art

This is a printable version of Cotswolds Distillery Corner painting.

I painted this building because it reminded me of the kind of place you find by following one small sign and a bit of curiosity. In real life, it is a distillery, and I loved the mix of practicality and charm it has. The sturdy walls, the tidy roofline, the little street details, and then that bright blue that makes the whole place feel welcoming instead of serious.

When I started painting, I focused on keeping the building slightly imperfect and full of character, like it has been standing there for a long time and has plenty of stories to tell. I let the warm tones of the walls and roof tiles stay soft and textured, then built up the blue doors and windows in layers so they feel crisp and bright. Adding the flag, the sign, and the lamp post was my favorite part, because those details make it feel like a real spot you can visit, not just a pretty facade. The small pots and greenery at the bottom were the last touch, like a quiet sign that someone is taking care of the place every day.

This painting is for anyone who loves travel memories, cozy architecture, and places with a little bit of history in the walls.
