I painted this storefront because it feels like a small safe place. The kind of café you spot from the end of the street and immediately decide your day can slow down a little. Everything is soft and rosy, with a blue window that looks like it is holding a piece of sky, and a door that feels like the start of a quiet conversation.
I loved adding the tiny details that make a café feel real. Little notes on the glass, simple icons, an “OPEN” sign hanging like a gentle promise, and a sidewalk board standing out front doing its best to be helpful. The pots at the bottom are small, but they change the mood, like someone cared enough to add something living to the entrance.
This piece is personal to me because I love places that keep their welcome visible. Not loud, not perfect, just warm. I wanted the watercolor to feel airy and playful, letting the paint create its own soft textures, like a memory of a good afternoon.
